We Lovingly Remember Sean William Myers, Forever 13
“It was 25 years ago when the world was introduced to Sean William Myers. You were born on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday. You were anointed - it was meant to be… At this point, I believe our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others, past and present, and. By each crime and every kindness, we birth our future. As we move forward, I know your life had purpose. I believe death is only a door. One door closes, another opens. If I were to imagine heaven, I would imagine a door opening. And he would be waiting for us there. I believe there is another world waiting for us, my love - a better world. Thank you for choosing me as your mom. I love you.”

In our own words
Who is Sean?
“So many came to know you and love your presence, Sean. We all miss you so so much. You have changed our lives in so many different ways, but to have had your presence in our lives as the greatest blessing of all. So many memories made throughout the years I wish I could’ve shared with you. But even without you here, in spirit, I feel like I’ve done everything through your guidance. Today, we remember you and think of you; missing that infection laugh and the light you let shine so bright in our lives. We love you.”
— Gianni Carrington
Sean’s Sister
“I remember Sean for his confidence, infectious smile, outgoing personality, and theatrical talents. He always knew how to brighten the room and make others laugh, even in the most serious of times. Tragically, Sean lost his personal struggle at the age of thirteen. He loved Beyoncé, and even carried the nickname Sasha Fierce. Sean was a son, brother, and friend. He was an inspiration to anyone who had the opportunity to know him. Sean’s vibrant spirit lives on through his loved ones and those in support of the LGBTQ+ community. The desire to provide Sean with a legacy worthy of such an incredible soul is the driving force behind this foundation’s work.”

A friend of Sean’s
“I sit here, watching my cursor blink because where do you start? Sean was loved by so many people. His family, friends, peers, teachers… the list goes on. It wasn’t possible to be in a room with Sean and not be smiling or laughing. His outgoing personality and way of life gave him a long list of friends, Sean didn’t have a clique because he was simply friends with everyone. It pains me to know that someone who seemed so happy and so full of life, was internally struggling. We remember you, Sean, for the loving, charismatic friend you were. We will use your story to help others struggling, hoping your story can impact as many lives today, as you did in your beautiful thirteen years of life. We miss your laugh, we miss your smile, and most importantly, we miss you.”
